Proposal
The proposed site is a vacant plot of land of approximately 6.2 hectares, which sits to the south of the Aylesford Interchange (Junction 5 of the M20).
We are proposing a single storey warehouse building of approximately 13,000 sqm with approximately 755 parking spaces (including spaces for disabled badge holders), and a petrol filling station (PFS). The warehouse is expected to create at least 250 jobs upon maturity.
At Costco we are committed to a sustainable approach to design. This means the site will include environmental measures such as solar panels and electric vehicle charging points. The proposals include extensive landscaping and planting both to soften views into the site and to provide a diverse landscape with opportunities for enhanced biodiversity.
Proposed opening hours
The warehouse and petrol filling station will operate seven days a week.

Costco is working with Royal British Veterans Enterprise (formerly known as the RBLI) – the current owners of the site. The sale will sustain the charity’s work to help ex-service people and those with disabilities.
Royal British Veterans Enterprise (RBVE) creates jobs, provides homes, and builds communities for veterans and people with disabilities to build independence.
More than 70% of the people working in our social enterprises are veterans, have a disability, or both. Over the past 12 months, our factories have generated £2.4 million in social value through disability employment, and produced more than 250,000 road, rail and commercial signs for major infrastructure projects.
Our Aylesford Village is also home to more than 300 veterans and their families, offering stability and connection.
This collaboration has the potential to strengthen RBVE’s long‑term future so RBVE can continue creating opportunities and supporting more veterans and disabled people in the years ahead.
